I have worked with Mark, Addison, Jay and their team at Asia Summit Consulting for nearly 8 years; they have provided me with all of my family’s health care insurance needs during that time. Last year I was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. The team quickly responded to my situation in Vietnam; when the doctors here indicated that I needed to look offshore for care they provided all the support needed for us to make the right choice for my family. Myeloma is almost always detected late – within 5 days of the diagnosis i had been med-evacuated to Bangkok and was getting ready for chemotherapy. All matters were well covered by the ASC team such that our insurer knew what was coming and how best to handle it. My cancer received the best treatment possible and I am now in remission – thanks in part to the support we received from ASC, which eased the difficulties one can find with insurers as costs add up. I met Jay Schlitz by chance in a gym one day, go chatting about our jobs and found out he is a health insurance broker. Health insurance is one of those things we all keep meaning to do but never actually get around to organizing, plus its quite confusing reading all the fine print etc.

Having lived in Vietnam for 2 years at that stage, my health cover from Australia had lapsed and Australia insurance premiums are very expensive.

Cannot thank Mark and his team enough. With a major health issue struck unexpectedly, they were so helpful in dealing with the hospital (language difficulties etc). They reduced the stress on us by being on hand and immediate with their response. If you need help when things are going south, these are the people you need to be with.
